About the Experience

📣Calling all Nelson Mandela Elementary alumni! Get ready for an unforgettable week of discovery, adventure, and connection in the great outdoors.

The Teton Science School Alumni Expedition is a special opportunity for former Mandela students who are currently 7th or 8th graders (Spring 2026) to explore the beauty of the Grand Teton National Park region while deepening their love for science, teamwork, and leadership.

During this five-day expedition (June 1–5), participants will hike through mountain trails, study local ecosystems, observe wildlife, and connect science learning with real-world experiences. You’ll also have a chance to reconnect with fellow alumni, build new friendships, and develop leadership skills that will last a lifetime.

This is a scholarship program— transportation, lodging, and meals are fully covered thanks to generous donor funding. ✈️🏡🍴

Please submit your completed application by February 1st, 2026. Selected students will be contacted by February 15th with next steps and details about an informational meeting for participants and families.
