Ms. Myroniuk - Family and Community Engagement Specialist
Amanda Myroniuk (she/her) is from Apple Valley, Minnesota. She moved to Omaha in 2019 and was placed at Nelson Mandela as a volunteer through the Lutheran Volunteer Corps - a year-long service organization. She was hired as a team member in 2020.
Ms. Myroniuk attended Minnesota Public Schools and graduated from Eastview High School in 2015. She went on to attend St. Olaf College and graduated in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in dance and English. Growing up, Ms. Myroniuk regularly volunteered at her church and in her dance studio where she gained a lot of her experience working with children. She also worked at Lake Wapogasset and Ox Lake Lutheran Bible Camps in Amery, Wisconsin in the summer as a counselor, staff support member, and team leader from 2015-2019.
Outside of Nelson Mandela, Ms. Myroniuk enjoys dancing and ringing handbells. She is a member of the Moving Company at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and the handbell ensemble, River City Ringers Omaha, where she also serves as a board member. Ms. Myroniuk loves utilizing her creative background to plan events for Mandela families and community volunteers to enjoy.
Ms. Myroniuk is passionate about education and her role in the front office in supporting both team members and the Mandela families. She states, "I am excited to be working at Nelson Mandela with a passionate team of educators that believe in this school and its scholars."
