Donta' Cain - Paraeducator
Donta’ Cain Sr. was born and raised in North Omaha, attending Fontenelle Elementary, Skinner Elementary, Nathan Hale Middle School, and graduating from Northwest High School. He was very into sports growing up, and he played mostly basketball and football. Donta’ has three children, one of which attends Mandela, Donta’ Cain Jr. Donta’ Sr. is the oldest of four siblings.
Through his teenage years and going into adulthood, Donta’ carried a passion for working with youth. One of his bigger dreams is creating programs for troubled youth as an alternative to foster care and prison. He also hopes to create different events for kids in the community. Donta’ coaches football and also has helped coach the Mandela basketball team.
He plans to take the opportunity given to him by Mandela to help challenge scholars to become the best version of themselves and also to keep himself continually growing with the youth of North Omaha. When it's all said and done, Donta wants to be remembered as one of the greatest youth influencers of the Omaha community.
