Janaé Marion - Kids Can Site Director
Janaé Marion was born and raised in Omaha, NE, where she attended Omaha Public Schools. She received the Susan T. Buffett Scholarship pursuing her secondary education at University of Nebraska at Omaha. Janaé received her bachelor’s from UNO in Social Work. While there, she joined the illustrious sorority Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and became the chapter president during her final year.
Janaé joined the afterschool programming world starting at the Boys & Girls Club of the Midlands in 2019 as a facilitator. Before that, she worked as a Teen Director, Youth Program Specialist, and Front Office Manager. She continued her career working at a Teen Specialist at Girls Inc. of Omaha, quickly working her way up becoming a Center Director before leaving the organization. She became the Site Director at Kids Can at Nelson Mandela Campus in 2022. She loves working patiently with the scholars and building a safe and warm environment for them to play and explore. Janaé is also devoted to working in the mental health field and providing resources to those who may need it; she is currently a Crisis Counselor at Boys Town. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her family, painting, and playing basketball.
