Marlena McGown - Teacher
Marlena McGown is from Atlanta, GA but moved to Omaha, NE in 2022. She attended Georgia State University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Legal Studies. She discovered her passion for education when she had an internship assisting children who had incarcerated parents with their academics. She joined the NME family in 2023 as a Paraeducator. In 2025, she earned her Nebraska Teaching Certificate and became a Certified Teacher. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, traveling, and trying new restaurants around the city. She loves being a teacher and is thrilled to build relationships with her scholars!
